Holiday in The Vendee
Our house was completed in 2005 and is offered to you in the beautiful setting of Les Fontenelles golf course. The house forms part of the Green Village complex of Les Fontenelles. The house is set in a very good position enabling the keen golfer to walk from the garden straight onto the first tee and onto the fairway! The other facilities available are a superb outdoor pool, tennis courts, Petang court, cycle way, comfortable reception area with wide screen tv, first class restaurant, bar and a club house with separate bar. There is also a golf pro shop selling a quality range of golfing requisites.
OVERVIEW OF AREA
The area is known as The Vendee and lies between the Côte d'Argent and Brittany. The Vendee has a unique character of its own with room to breathe and relax. The Vendee is famous for its long stretches of fine white sandy beaches washed by the Atlantic. The Vendee boasts sunshine levels only second to the south of France with more than 210 days of sunshine per year.
The Vendee is renowned for its clarity of air and light and is called locally 'La Cote de la Lumiere'. The area has a wealth of castles, museams and heritage centres to make an interesting days visit.
For the more adventurous of visitors The Vendee has many activities to keep you interested, there is sand yachting, room to fly aerobatic kites, wind surfing, sailing, swimming and many other sporting activities. Or you could simply relax on many of the vast beaches and sand dunes.
